 IN THE EVENT OF POTENTIAL/CONFIRMED CONTAMINATED PATIENT(S) YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE ACTIONS 

 DO NOT APPROACH THE PATIENT(S)

DO NOT BOOK THEM IN

1. Tell them to leave the department immediately and stand to the left of the entrance doors. The forward liaison officer will be with them as soon as possible to provide further instructions. 

2. Immediately Inform the Nurse in Charge – give any details you know (if visible white powder or chemical etc) & number of patients.

3. Await further instructions from the NIC
